FSU Saxophone Day 2024 is a day celebrating the saxophone through both jazz and classical music. This year’s edition features two innovative musicians, John Ellis and Erin Rogers. Ellis has performed with Ellis Marsalis, Nicholas Payton, and Brian Blade, among many others, and is a laureate of the Thelonius Monk Competition. Rogers is a faculty member at the Manhattan School of Music and is an in-demand composer and saxophonist whose music has been featured in the New York Times and in the New Yorker.
