Improv Spaces is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting contemporary composers, improvising musicians, and interdisciplinary artists through performances, residencies, workshops, and community engagement. We create opportunities for artists to develop, premiere, and present original work while connecting audiences with adventurous contemporary music and the festival is a major part of this work.
This year we are delighted to co-present the festival with the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall and their new Capital Region Music Hub, bringing together artists from the Capital Region, New York and New Jersey. The festival features premieres, improvisation, interdisciplinary performance, workshops, vendors, food, and opportunities for audiences to engage with artists throughout the day.
