Cleveland-based Ogni Suono presents SaxoVoce, a long-term project exploring the wide-ranging musical, dramatic, and theatrical possibilities inherent in the synthesis of saxophone and voice. From storytelling to nonsensical shouts, each composer of this evening’s program uniquely integrates the human voice.

Closing the 2018 Now Hear This Festival is Edmonton’s fabulous UltraViolet: Roger Admiral (piano), Chenoa Anderson (flutes), Allison Balcetis (saxophones) and Amy Nicholson (‘cello). The group gave a stunning debut performance of new, multi-media works during the 2017 festival. Allison and Amy will perform Rise Up, Singing for alto saxophone and cello by Erin Rogers.

Popebama joins Brandon Lopez and Nina Dante THIS FRIDAY, starting at 6/6:30p for a life drawing session curated by Amy Garapic of TIGUE. The quartet will play an improvised music set accompanied by contemporary dance superstar Fiona Lundie. At 7:45p the music continues with PRIMA.

Participation is up to you. Drawing is not required, but greatly encouraged. The music & company will be bonkers regardless.

6p- Come mingle, grab a drink, a seat, & set up
6:30-745p – Draw or just enjoy as Nina, Brandon, Dennis, Erin & Fiona mesmerize your eyes & ears.
