NTQ is joining the Creviston-Fader Duo for a double bill event at The Firehouse Space! The Creviston Fader Duo will premiere my new piece Bandwidth for soprano saxophone and electric guitar.
About Fader-Creviston:
Established in 2005, the Creviston-Fader Duo (Chris Creviston, sax and Oren Fader, guitar) is committed to expanding the repertoire for saxophone and electric guitar. Performing across the U.S., the Duo has an impressive repertoire of pieces written specifically for them by many award-winning composers including John Anthony Lennon, Gregory Wanamaker, Whitney Ashe, David Claman, Eric Schwartz, Brian Coughlin, Dorothy Chang, and Evan Hause. The Duo’s debut recording, “Thrash”, is currently available on the White Pine label.

New Thread Quartet is pleased to perform on the season opening concert of Guy Barash’s Eavesdropping Series at Spectrum NYC. Our set will include the US premiere of Ophir Ilzetzki’s Ambience for sax quartet and live electronics; “Lucidity” by Monte Weber for soprano, saxophone quartet, and pre-recorded electronics, featuring soprano Alize Rozsnyai; “Mother Earth” by Erin Rogers for flute, saxophone quartet, and electronics, featuring Andrea Lee Smith on flute; and “Incantation S4-X” by Matthew Burtner for saxophone quartet and computer generated sound.

Pleased to join saxophonist Geoff Deibel for a solo show on March 28th, 7:00 pm at ShapeShifter Lab in Brooklyn. We will perform works for two saxophones by Alex Mincek (Karate) and Joe Michaels (Assembly Line – North American premiere). Geoff will also perform Jesse Ronneau (Parison – World premiere) and Nucleus by Alex Mincek with percussionist Chris Graham of IKTUS. Very excited to be joining Geoff for this special concert while he is visiting NYC from Wichita State University in Kansas.
