As a miniature prelude to our upcoming opera, thingNY will be performing at the Yippie Museum (Bowery) on May 31st at 7pm. Featuring some of our highlights from the past season, we hope to impress you to the point where you decide it necessary to purchase tickets to our opera, ADDDDDDDDD on June 20th. In a display of one-upmanship, the enfants terribles that make up thingNY are writing concertos for and against one another. What is a concerto? Is it something you can feel? Something you can touch? Or is it something greater than ourselves? Something almost unknowable? Answers to these questions and more when we present the following new works:

Paul Pinto – Concerto for Sax [world premiere]
Erin Rogers – Chronolinea    [world premiere]
Andrea La Rose – Concerto for Anybody
Isabel Castellvi – Concerto for Everybody   [world premiere]

Then at 8pm, the original New York punk classicists, Anti-Social Music, take the stage for some avant-garde debauchery by Hess, La Rose, Lasaga, Muchmore and Sankaram.
