Panoply Performance Laboratory
104 Meserole Street
Brooklyn, NY 11206

Thursday videos from thingNY!

Date: March 21, 2013

For the next four weeks thingNY will be releasing a new YouTube video every Thursday! Today, Thursday Mar 14 through Thursday Mar 21, please enjoy:

GLUE – a structured improvisation modeled on the Fluxus piece For a Drummer (Fluxversion 1) by George Brecht which asks that a “performer drums with drumsticks or drum brushes over the surface of wet mud or thick glue until brushes or sticks get stuck and can’t be lifted.” The accompanying ensemble members are each equipped with their primary instrument and an electronic instrument capable of “getting stuck” on its own.
