During the month of February, the Composers Now Festival brings together dozens of performances presented by venues, ensembles, orchestras, opera companies, dance companies and many other innovative events throughout New York City. We are excited to join an esteemed lineup of artists and ensembles for their annual kick-off.

Circuit Bridges will present a concert of diverse and exciting electroacoustic music by composers from New York City and around the world. New Thread Quartet will perform Mother Earth by Erin Rogers, for flute, saxophone quartet, and electronics.

The New Thread Saxophone Quartet get its Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, performing a set of 1-minute works by Lauren Buscemi, Masatora Goya,Hanan Hadzajlic, Dillon Henry, Emily Koh, Kaori Nakano, Paolo Pecin,Silvia Pepe, Richard Pressley, Keane Southard, Ivan Tangkulung, Maxwell Tfirn, Luca Vanneschi and Blair Whittington. This Composers Voice Concert Series program will also feature Roberto Kalb’s multi-movement saxophone quartet, “Ryden Scenes” and Joseph Joey Bohigian’s “Quartet” for saxes and strings.

New York based trio, First Construction, will round out the hour with a world premiere performance of 8/5/15\19\14\15\14/4 – 2 by Adam Matlock.

Composer’s Voice presents December Dance, a concert of live music and dance being curated by David Morneau and Adrea Skurr. NTQ will collaborate with dancers to present a piece from our repertoire with original choreography.
