Live Sound: featuring New York-based saxophonist Erin Rogers + guests. The event will be both performed live in the space and live-streamed at the same time, for those unable to attend on-site.

Saxophonist Erin Rogers celebrates the release of her second solo album from Relative Pitch Records. A “Tour de Force of split sounds” Rogers dives deep into the sonic underbelly of the instrument, uncovering a radiant world of curiosity and imagination. From human fragility to noisy virtuosity, Rogers forges an alternate voice for the saxophone, percussively blending tone with mechanism and melody with vocalization, gutturals and breath. Rogers will perform solo works from her recent release 2000 Miles, followed by a set with guitarist Alec Goldfarb. Guest artists Erica Dicker (violin) and Dennis Sullivan (percussion) will open the evening with new work for strings and modified snare-drums.

“incredible technique with an expressive attitude” —Vital Weekly
