NTQ will give a recital at Bronx Community College, featuring Anthony Gatto’s new opera Wise Blood for soprano, sax quartet, trombone, and euphonium. Program will also include works by Roberto Kalb, Michael Djupstrum, and more. This is our first performance in the borough and what a venue! On Saturday, October 19th, Rhymes With Opera brings a semi-annual Salon series back to Exapno in Brooklyn. A new music potluck get-together, the Salon is a chance for the new music community and their friends and fans to get together and share something truly magical: new and experimental music performed in a space that is open-hearted, friendly, supportive, FREE and (best of all) well-fed.
Bring a covered dish to share, grab a bottle of wine (or that nine-year-old bottle of green Creme de Menthe from the back of your cupboard), and come be a part of an event that’s only gotten cooler with age.
